About

I am a social worker with 9 years of experience. My areas of special passion are recovery from trauma, especially intimate partner violence and sexual violence, and substance use issues. I also have extensive experience with supporting individuals to manage a variety of mental health concerns including mood and anxiety disorders.

My approach blends a variety of therapeutic techniques, especially CBT, narrative, feminist, and psychodynamic approaches. But I individualize treatment for every client because everybody is different and needs different things. A feminist approach does not mean that I devalue men's perspectives. It simply means that I view women and men as equals, and that I believe it is important to recognize the impact of intersectionality on our lives and our relationships. I am LGBTQ-affirming.

I live in Atlanta with my husband, children, dogs, and cats. I love spending time outdoors, reading, and going on adventures.

I became a social worker because I love getting to know new people and helping them find the creativity, strength, and value they didn't know they had. I love getting to be a part of others' journeys to create a better life for themselves and their communities.
