Hi there, I'm Eleanor! Hello, my name is Eleanor Odermatt LCSW. I provide humor, warmth and a compassionate non-judgmental place where you can feel safe to share your concerns and thoughts, and as a team work on your individual situation. Together we will work to make goals and through a variety of goal directed activities and conversations that will help you be able to make those changes which will lead to a positive change in your life. I can also include faith-based in treatment if wanted by you. This will be work...but it will be worth it. My approach I prefer to utilize an eclectic approach to assist you with your individual situation and goals. I will provide supportive treatment and by using a client-focused person center approach we will find the best approach or combination of approaches that will work best for you. My approach is person focused to start where you are and work on your specific need and goals. My approach to assist you can include such approaches as CBT/DBT, mindfulness techniques, and solution focused among others. This approach allows for flexibility and will be used to form an individually focused treatment plan created to meet your needs and assist you in reaching your chosen goals. My focus I work with adults and adolescents of any gender aging from 13-the senior citizen. I work with people who want to make changes in their lives and are willing to put in the work and challenge themselves in order to allow them to move forward with goals and improve their ability to cope with the symptoms resulting from their mental health concerns. I work with individuals suffering with severe mental illness as well, such as schizophrenia and psychotic disorders. My other focus has included working with sexual offenders both adolescents and adult males in a forensic setting.
