About

Hi! I'm Rachel Richardson, a licensed clinical psychologist. I have over 20 years of experience treating patients suffering from everything from adjustment issues to severe mental illness in people who are incarcerated to CEOs and everyone in between. I aim to help people become the best versions of themselves and help them discover who that is and what that may look like based on their ideas about the world and what matters most to them. Everyone is unique and I treat everyone as an individual and as such, my approach may differ depending on what my patients need. My approach I use an eclectic, holistic, present-oriented, and solution-focused approach when working with patients. I am trained in health psychology and as such, health issues such as insomnia, blood sugar instability, and activity level are addressed as well as things such as social support/involvement and nurturing spiritual connection to the world/others/ourselves. I help people line up the things they do with their values and priorities to achieve a sense of satisfaction with life and themselves. I teach people to have a healthier relationship with their emotions and thoughts. My focus I enjoy working with busy professionals who are struggling with work/life balance, couples who need to regain a connection and improve communication, older adults, and individuals who are at turning points in their lives (marriage/pregnancy and postpartum/divorce/grief and loss/career change/retirement/change in mobility or health status) and need help figuring out who they are and what to do next. Some of the disorders I regularly treat include; insomnia, anxiety, depression, and ADHD. My communication style While I'm empathetic with my patients and strive to make them feel truly heard and understood, I am direct and (gently) confront when necessary.
