Hi there, I'm Ekaterini! My Name is Ekaterini Angelis and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), I work with clients statewide via telehealth in California and Missouri. I primarily work with adults and specialize in: anxiety, depression, complex trauma, domestic violence, relationship conflict, self-esteem, grief & loss, perfectionism, adult children of narcissistic parents, spiritual abuse, and religious trauma. My approach I utilize a humanistic approach and incorporate family systems as well as cognitive behavioral therapy to help my clients better understand themselves. I work with clients to collaboratively and problem solve tools to make positive change. I am trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy and utilize a trauma informed approach when appropriate. My focus I find that I work well with clients who have had relational trauma that affects their current relationships with themselves and others. This can often present in the form of negative self talk and self esteem, perfectionism, persistent feelings of guilt and shame, anxiety, and depression. I have ample experience working specifically with those who have a history of abuse from a partner, friend, or family member, adult children of narcissistic parents, and religious trauma. My communication style My aim is to create a comfortable, open and honest environment. Therapy is a very vulnerable process; my goal is that you feel you can count on me to come from a place of understanding and non-judgment. My journey to therapy I wanted to be a therapist since a very young age. One of the things I value most is being able to help others work through difficult times in their life, and helping empower them to be happier, healthier versions of themselves. Being able to see my clients make progress and find healing is invaluable and I am always honored to be a part of that process.
