Hello! My name is Dr. Spaulding, and I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 12 years of experience. I have successfully treated a wide range of presenting problems such as phase of life issues, depression, stress, anxiety, trauma, bipolar illness, psychotic symptoms, as well as various personality characteristics in need of refinement. My therapy approach draws influence from Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), brief psychodynamic therapy,interpersonal therapy, motivational interviewing, and psychoeducation. I offer a no-nonsense, to the heart-of-the-matter approach that balances warmth, humor, and openness, all while providing a safe space for exploration. I gently challenge clients in an attempt to discover relevant and contributing factors related to reasons for seeking therapy. I believe we all need an objective person who can bear witness to our stories and support us in difficult times....someone with whom we can openly share our deepest thoughts and experiences that we maybe reluctant to share with friends or family due to fear of judgment or conflict. Healing happens when these things are processed openly with a trusted, unbiased person.
