About

Hi my name is George Hage. I am a Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor Supervisor and a Doctor of Education in Curriculum. I have 31 years of counseling experience, I have served principally males and females and their single parents of the student age populations beginning at 13 years of age. I also apply individual, couples, group, and family therapy to adults 16-99. I serve many with relationship issues, cultural and identity issues, change of life problems, work and vocational issues, and other transitional issues. I focus on ADHD, depression, and anxiety, and the many struggles that we undergo in day-to-day living. My focus of therapy is reconciliation based upon familiarity with many evidenced based practices as well as humanistic therapies. I apply the following therapies: Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral, Person Centered, Expressive Arts, Logo Therapy, and Biblical Therapy to the dynamics of life while struggling through the challenges of personal and environmental conflict. My goal in counseling is to empower you with skills that facilitate and enhance reconciliation, connecting with opposing forces you see working against you through your prism of thoughts and emotions. I refer you to my books, Reconciliation: Toward Creative Counseling and Education, and Counseling and Creativity: Reflections. They are with other book sellers as well. At the same time, I have a faith-based orientation to therapy for those who see the world from a spiritual vantage point. I hold a Doctor of Philosophy in Eastern Orthodox Studies and Theology, and have served as a pastor in Protestant communions since 1972 and now serve in a local Eastern Orthodox Communion in my area. So, I welcome you to contact me regardless of your age, belief system, culture, background, or gender. My purpose is to empower your decision-making and coping skills so that you may effectively manage your challenges, set your goals, and to meet them. Also, the successes and failures you see yourself undergoing provide the means through which you are becoming empowered by shaping your story and legacy. I will help you to see these as stepping stones toward the shaping of your life and story that will one day positively impact on others. I look forward to hearing from you.
