Are you or your child having concerns about gender or sexuality identities? Is your child struggling to make friends in school? How about having difficulty dealing with life changes, such as divorce/separation, moving, death or loss? If you have answered yes to any of these questions, this is the place for you. My name is Dr. Shaqueal Stevens, LCSW-C, and I am pleased to guide you and/or your child in the therapeutic process. I believe that no matter where we are in life regarding our past trauma or challenges, we can always work towards being our best selves. We are our greatest projects, and we owe it to ourselves to commit to our growth and success. Here, at Project: Committed to Me, I help you do just that. I specialize in treating children and adolescents (ages 7-22) for various diagnoses & troubling areas. Examples include LGBTQ+ identities, ADHD, depression, anxiety, trauma, social skills, self-esteem, etc. I have worked directly with youth & young adults for over 9 years. I empower clients to be the director of our sessions. Through trauma-informed care, I provide a non-judgmental space and a nurturing, safe, and comfortable environment.
