Hello, my name is Dr. Christopher Maglio and I am a licensed psychologist in Missouri. I obtained my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Arizona State University in 1992. I have almost three decades of experience in professional psychology and I currently operate a limited private practice in Kirksville, Missouri providing individual and couple counseling. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, OCD, grief/loss, relationship issues and aging-related issues. In addition to counseling, I perform psychological evaluations, mental health evaluation, and psychosexual evaluations.

My approach to counseling is to develop a relaxed, non-threatening, interactive and professional relationship with my clients. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I utilize cognitive-behavioral, client-centered, humanistic, mindfulness, trauma-focused and solution-focused theories and techniques in my work with clients. I consistently seek client feedback to work collaboratively to tailor treatment plans to meet each client’s unique and specific needs.

It takes a lot of courage to take that first step to reach out to seek help and to open up and talk about problems and issues.
