About

I'm Nina Schneider and I've been a psychologist working with veterans for the past 15 years. I offer time-limited, goal-oriented therapies to help improve quality of life as well as symptomatology. I'm here to help you make changes to achieve your full potential!

I started my work in the VA's PTSD clinic helping veterans work through their traumatic experiences through structured therapies (e.g., Prolonged Exposure). Since then, I've expanded my experiences to general mental health and primary care services. I've worked on several research studies identifying ways to best engage patients in trauma work to help improve trauma-related symptoms (e.g., nightmares, intrusive thoughts, anger/irritability, isolation, paranoia). I also love helping people improve their sleep by changing routines and sleep habits. By extension, some additional areas of expertise are anxiety, worry, depressed mood, low motivation and energy, and ambivalence.

Most people would describe me as honest, authentic, and straightforward.

On a personal note, I'm recently married to a firefighter and have three awesome step-kids. I also enjoy teaching at an online university in my free time.
