With a warm welcome I invite you into a glimpse of my soul. I have been serving families in Broward County, Florida as a counselor since 1983 starting as a peer counselor at Crystal Lake Middle School when at the tender age of 12 I experienced the death of a peer due to drowning at Crystal Lake. As a counselor for my peers, the training I received even then by my teacher started me on a life long calling to become the most effective therapist for any soul that I have the honor to serve. Growing up as a former high risk youth raised by a single immigrant mother and surviving numerous difficulties some may find themselves in, I utilize my immense experience part time as a Crisis Intervention Counselor at Ascend Academy Charter High School in Broward County, FL while serving clients holistically and therapeutically at Through the Valley Therapy and here at Find A Therapist :)

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (MH18034) with a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University, a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science from Florida Atlantic University with a certification in Women's Studies, and an Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Palm Beach State College. For numerous years as I worked on becoming license I worked as a preschool teacher and in the film industry as an actress/producer. I am also well versed in functional/holistic care understanding the importance of psychoeducation in order to empower my client to exercise their mind, body and soul!
