About

My name is Diana Foltz, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Florida and working with individuals via Telehealth. I work with adolescents to geriatrics and have experience with all age groups with specialties in anxiety & mood disorders, grief/loss issues, traumatic stress (acute or post), and help with adjusting to major life changes using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and trauma-informed care, including experience with EMDR. My therapy approach varies based on the needs of each client I work with. I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy with a Strengths-Based Approach, as both modalities help me and the client build a shared understanding of their reality and allow us to work together to chart a path forward based on the strengths of the client. I have found that my style and focus is a good fit for adolescents, young and middle-aged adults, as well as seniors and geriatric populations that are dealing with life changes, social pressures, grief/loss, and individuals newly diagnosed with depressive disorders and stress/anxiety. I work to help my clients navigate these transition periods and to build skills to allow them to feel better about themselves and develop a more positive outlook on life. My communication style is calm, accommodating, and focused on the individual needs of those I am working with. I want my clients to feel comfortable talking to me about anything, and I pride myself on my ability to listen without judgment. I want my clients to feel heard and supported while in counseling. I changed my career in my mid-thirties by going back and getting my Masters's in Clinical Social Work because I wanted to help others to feel better and get back to their optimal functioning after going through some type of life transition. I also enjoy seeing individuals return to optimal functioning after going through symptoms of depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, and grief reactions to loss,
