Since 2010, Dana has been actively helping individuals through mental health counseling in the Central Florida area. She is a licensed Mental Health Counselor with experience working with children, young adults and adults. Dana specifically tailors her therapeutic approach to each client based on their needs. Treating clients with warmth, compassion and empathy are of upmost importance to her.

Dana acquired her B.S. degree in Psychology from the New York Institute of Technology and went on to acquire her M.S. degree in Counseling Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University. Dana worked at the Howard Phillips Center for Children and Families in Orlando, FL dealing especially with traumatized children and their parents. She also has extensive experience working in private practice with a wide array of client concerns. Currently, she is the Director of Counseling at Beacon College. When counseling young adults and adults, Dana uses a combination of mostly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)and Person-centered therapy (PCT) but incorporates approaches from many other theorists as well.

Through life’s challenges Dana discovered first hand that healing comes out of compassionate and therapeutic relationships. It is her mission to bring that compassionate and therapeutic relationship to you, and to do everything in her power to help you the best way she knows how. She loves people and believes in them fully. She believes that everyone has what it takes to overcome life’s challenges, they only need someone to give them the tools to face them.
