Although Cyrus has spent most of his life in the US, he sees the world as of an immigrant. Cyrus moved to the US from Iran when he was 10 years old and has remained here since then. Cyrus stumbled into psychology at community college and went on to receive his undergraduate degree at UMBC and graduate degree from JHU. Cyrus has served the severely and persistently mentally ill, alcohol/substance-use population, and now serving those with various severities of individual mood problems, relationship problems, and addictions/habits. Cyrus’ approach to therapy is rooted in CBT with a special focus in TEAM-CBT.
