Hi and welcome. My name’s Cristina Gutman and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and National Certified Counselor (NCC) with a PhD in Clinical Psychology.

Whether you’re new to the counseling experience or not – it’s a brave move and one that’s necessary. You listen to the kids, the co-workers, the boss, the spouse, the family, friends, the dog…every single one of them in your ear and sometimes all at once…but during session: you talk, I listen. I honor that commitment to self-care and your trust, and am here to work with you through the challenge(s) you bring to session. And while I do listen, I’m happy give you that nudge when you’re stuck.

I was raised, lived, and have worked under the military umbrella for most of my life, and have spent the past 10 years as a counselor for the military. Other counseling experience includes serving the LGBTQQIAP community both in the German civilian and US military sectors. My work with young adults included transgender youth in Germany, and university students in the United States. I’ve also provided counseling services to people working in the adult entertainment industry in both Germany and the US civilian sector.

I’ve been honored and fortunate to continually work with an incredible - and incredibly diverse -population. Therapeutic approaches I’ve found helpful include Solution Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic (insight-oriented) Therapy, Gender Therapy, and , Family Systems…there’s no such thing as one size fits all. The only constant I can guarantee is a safe and welcoming, shame-free and no-judgement zone. I hope to see you there.
