I have been working as a therapist for over 13 years helping people live the life they want to. I have worked at a community health center and in schools and residential treatment facility. I am here to help be with and teach a person how to deal with things so they can get back to living life the way they want to. I strive to have people feel like life gets easier after working on things. I am an openly gay male therapist who specializes in working with the LGBTQIA+ population. I have worked with multiple issues over the years and feel that its ok if you don't connect with a therapist as not everyone is meant for you. I believe that having a patient work on things out of session is the most beneficial as we will not "solve" or "fix" everything in our sessions but the real work is practicing it in your life during the week. I am also a goal oriented person as it makes things easier when we know where or what we are moving towards. The goal of therapy I feel is not stay with me weekly for the rest of your life but to heal and then go live your life and if and when you need a tune up come back to me. I refer to this as episodic care. You come and see when you need to and then go on with your life the rest of the time. I love to learn and love to use humor at times but also am very compassionate and understanding.
