About

I work with folks who are challenged with feeling and managing their emotions – those who hide their anxiety, guilt, shame, or sadness without giving themselves the space they deserve. Before finding a safe therapeutic space with me, the folks I work with often felt concerned that their problems were not bad enough, or serious enough or that their experiences happened so long ago that they should no longer be affected by them. They often times feared they would not be heard or even understood. Being the person who always has it together is mentally exhausting. Together we will explore past traumas, learn new coping skills, and find new ways to live and heal. I focus on the complete human experience and emphasize a balance of the mental, physical, and social aspects of life. I explore behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling life. I am committed to providing a safe and confidential environment. My goal as a therapist is to help people learn to trust themselves and utilize their discernment. We are all experts of ourselves and I believe it is my role to help you learn who you were created to be, and live life as your authentic self. I make it a point to be authentic in my sessions, which takes away the "formality" of therapy and invites healing. I sincerely believe that we all deserve to live the lives we envision for ourselves. There are times throughout our lives where we experience situations that cause us to second-guess ourselves or question or decisions. We may have felt the deep pain of loss or betrayal, or experienced the agony of abuses or assaults. Through therapy, we can unpack these traumas together. As for me, I grew up in Miami, and that’s where I fell in love with the music and beaches. Those are my first loves. The Army took me around the world, and family brought me back again. Throughout my journey, I've learned the significance of being still. I want to help others understand the importance of healing and acceptance. With the help of therapy, exercise, and mediation, I practice self-love and grace with myself. Finding our personal frequency will be key to unlocking our best self.
