About

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who received their Master’s degree from Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis, Mo. I have a diverse background of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. My experiences range from working with families with children of chronic illness, teenage issues, childhood anxiety disorders, teenage challenges, adult anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and couple’s therapy.

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) along with various aspects of other clinical approaches with clients to provide evidence-based treatment, helping the client reach their treatment goals. During the therapeutic process I apply various strategies of CBT and empathic, interpersonal support to help clients understand the sources of their emotional distress and unwanted patterns of behavior. Building on this knowledge, I help my clients draw on their strengths and capacities to plan and carry out programs of change. As a therapist, my goal is to provide a supportive, open, and collaborative environment for change.
