Often we struggle with our thoughts or experiences, and that struggle gets in the way of us living a complete and fulfilling life. Learning new skills to better manage your depression, anxiety... whatever it is, can be very helpful, but treatment with me will also focus on accepting those parts of you for what they are. Instead of struggling and fighting against those thoughts, those feelings, I try to take a different approach. What if you were able to let go of the struggle and just live your life? The feelings might still be there, but you're not fighting with them. You're not dismissing them. And you're not trying to lock them up in a deep dark corner of your mind -- because let's be honest, that never works anyway!
