I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. I have twenty-six years of experience as a clinical professional counselor. I work with all age groups and issues from major trauma, depression and anxiety to the challenges, stressors and losses that arise in daily life. I will teach people effective tools to approach and manage the troubling situation they face. I work from a collaborative approach to therapy and view the therapeutic relationship as a journey that we embark upon together, as a team. I am down-to-earth, genuine, loyal, and honest. I have had clients tell me I am like them or a "real" person. At the end of the day, I deal with life stressors, just as you do. I try very hard to practice what I preach, but I am not perfect. My approach to therapy is client-centered and interactive. I believe in the “Golden Rule"; treat others how you would like to be treated. I believe in, promote, and teach a work/life balance and strive to create an effective and comprehensive individualized approach to counseling that embraces the changes client’s desire. I also love to laugh! Although therapy can be difficult at times, it can be fun. In my leisure time, I enjoy walking my two dogs, working in and my flower garden and spending time with family and friends. I love relaxing to a movie, reading an actual book (no e-books), and listening to music. I typically end my day with yoga and meditation.
