Hi, my name is Cheryl. It takes courage to reach out for help, and I am proud of you for deciding “Now is the Time!” Being a therapist is not a job but a passion that I find very rewarding. I enjoy being able to share the experience of you finding your inner strength and taking control of your life with confidence and self-awareness.

Counseling is my second career. I worked full-time with a global organization in human resources/benefits for 10 years. I helped employees deal with job/career issues, family and relationship problems, loss of loved ones, financial issues, and so much more. I love helping others find their right path and begin the journey towards happiness and fulfillment.

I graduated with distinction from Capella University with a master’s in Mental Health Counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia. I am a National Certified Counselor and a Certified Anger Management Specialist. I have been working with substance abuse and anger management clients since my master’s internship program.

I would describe my style as sincere and compassionate, nonjudgmental and supportive. Being an empathetic listener helps me to work with you and gives me an edge to understanding and providing what you need. Everyone deserves to be happy and enjoy each day. I believe life is to be lived and not just another line item on your checklist.
Therapy gives you a chance to open up and share your pains and struggles with another person. The freedom of ‘getting it out in the open’ with a trusted and compassionate individual can be so empowering. You are not alone in your search for answers. Accepting help is a sign of strength and courage.

My practice is open to teenagers, adults, couples and families. I am available to my clients throughout the weekdays and weekends.
