About

After years of being a stay-at-home mother and caring for my five children, several friends and acquaintances who sought my advice and support in dealing with life’s challenges encouraged me to become a therapist. At the age of 42, I went back to school and earned my master’s degree in counseling. I subsequently earned certificates in trauma/PTSD and in intimate relationship skills.

I know firsthand how overwhelming and frightening transitions can be. Sometimes just the thought of making a change in your life can prevent you from moving forward. It is scary to take that first step but it’s a little easier when you know that someone will be by your side guiding and encouraging you every step of the way.
I view life as a journey with many obstacles along the way. We may find ourselves struggling with difficult or broken relationships, illness, the death of a loved one or unresolved issues from our childhood. At times we might feel anxious, confused, depressed and even hopeless and we don’t know where to turn to find relief. Struggles and challenges are part of the human condition and sometimes we need a little assistance to overcome them. Together we can collaborate in exploring the issues that affect you and the obstacles that hold you back from realizing your highest potential. I am passionate about helping people find the inner peace and fulfillment we all seek by assisting them in acquiring tools for self-growth, for reducing anxiety and depression and for improved relationships. The process can be extremely rewarding and life-changing.

Combining several modalities, my approach is custom-tailored to meet each individual’s needs. I believe that the client is the expert on his/her own life and I am the emotional/mental guide who will assist you in reaching your destination.

I look forward to guiding you in your journey to a happier and more fulfilling life!
