I have over 20 years of social services experience obtained from positions with the Department of Family and Children Services, Social Security Disability Adjudication, Vocational Rehabilitation Program of Georgia, Palliative and Hospice Care, and mental health therapy. For most of my social work career was serving patients and families who were receiving hospice services. With ten years of experience, I have abundant knowledge about aging and end-of-life care. As a therapist with Vida Health, I provide individual and group counseling to women and men through psychosocial assessments, which assist in building the treatment plan for therapy. In April 2022, I began Balancing Thoughts Counseling Services, LLC. Balancing Thoughts Counseling offers a short-term therapy platform style that inspires change through specific, guided goals over six months. Balancing Thoughts operates with intentionality serving women, men, couples, and families to promote growth and balanced direction. In addition to my career responsibilities, I am a member of the Georgia Society for Clinical Social Work, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and New Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church’s Health Ministry. I believe in providing education to every individual I encounter by embracing the concept of “meeting my clients where they are,”; thus, supplying them with the tools they need to cope with the trials of life.
