About

I am a licensed professional counselor within the state of Mississippi with over four years of experience as a mental health provider and advocate. For the last several years, I have worked within the community mental health setting and have provided therapeutic support to clients experiencing a diverse range of concerns including depression, anxiety, disordered eating, trauma, panic attacks, substance abuse, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, psychosis, and non-suicidal self-injury. I wholeheartedly believe that no problem is too complex or too intimidating to candidly discuss and tackle within the confines of the counseling process. I hope individuals who work with me feel unconditionally appreciated, respected, and supported regardless of identity, hardship, or diagnosis.

My counseling style could be defined as personable, interactive, and unconventional as I prefer to take a more egalitarian, person-centered approach. I strive to make sure that all individuals are seen, heard, understood, and supported. I combine elements of cognitive-behavioral, Rogerian, and Adlerian theories of counseling to best understand, support, and empower each individual. I strive to provide all of my clients with a trusting relationship and safe place where they can work towards achieving their own unique goals and become holistically healthier and happier people. I also pride myself on being an advocate for social justice so that problems are not merely coped with but ultimately resolved at both the individual and institutional level.

I have been both a therapist and a client. I understand, firsthand, how incredibly difficult it can be to be honest with oneself and others. It takes courage to live authentically and to ask for support or guidance whenever life becomes complicated. It would be an honor to be a part of your journey towards living a more fulfilling and healthier life. I hope to meet you and work with you someday!
