My name is Dr. Brian Upton and I am licensed in Missouri with 24 years of professional work experience. I taught counseling for close to 20 years at a university, was a primary therapist in a psychiatric hospital, and ran a clinic while providing professional supervision to masters level students and provisionally licensed counselors. I have extensive experience in helping clients with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma and abuse, spiritual abuse, self esteem, and many other mental health issues. I believe that people need help with skewed perspectives of how they see themselves and how they interact with the world around them. I will help clients see that they have God given strengths that will assist them in overcoming things that seem insurmountable. I utilize empirically proven techniques to challenge and partner with clients in a solution focused approach. I am here to support clients by helping them reduce symptoms of mental health problems and find fulfillment, peace of mind, and joy. Thank you for considering partnering with me.
