About

Hello! My name is Brandy Frizzell. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with an extensive background in social and mental health services. Prior to obtaining my licensure, I worked in State funded mental health providing mental health crisis intervention. I have worked in a variety of therapeutic settings, including; community, clinic, inpatient extended observation unit, and now in a private practice. I work with clients affected by crisis and trauma and have symptoms of depression, anxiety, codependency, addiction, mood disorders, and have interpersonal and relationship challenges.

I am passionate about mental health advocacy. Crisis is normal to life, but that does not mean we have to live wounded. My deepest desire is to come alongside my clients and partner with you to heal toward your purpose.

We all have dreams, passions, and desires. Crisis can arrest us and cause us to stall. I want to see you healed and walking in freedom.

My desire is to see you achieve your goals by fostering an authentic, safe space for rigorous honesty and tender care; ensuring that you are humanized, dignified, and heard. I use a variety of therapeutic modalities and tools to help you progress through the therapy process, including; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, helping clients explore the relationship between thoughts, feelings, behaviors and core beliefs that may be sabotaging their ability to have healthy thoughts and relationships. Dialectical Behavior Therapy focuses on mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation and aids in clients to begin to experience joy and freedom from emotional dysregulation.

I am originally from Texas, but have lived on the West Coast. I enjoy taking walks with my Yorkie, CoCo, and spending time reading literature that helps me grow in my professional skills. I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Northern Arizona University and a master’s in psychology from Houston Baptist University. I am licensed in the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor #82079.
