About

Greetings, my name is Bettina J. Sellers. I have a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia, and I have been in private practice since 2018. Although my civilian counseling career began in 2015, my counseling experience began as a Non-commissioned Officer in the Air Force during my 20-year career. I am trained and specialize in Trauma-Informed Counseling. I work with individuals suffering from various traumas to include, but not limited to child abuse, domestic violence, psychological abuse, and sexual assault.

I have unconditional positive regard for my clients, and I meet them where they are, as I give them helpful tools to navigate life’s changes and challenges. I use an integrated theoretical approach to Psychotherapy, utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities such as the person-centered approach emphasizing the importance of the therapist/client relationship, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness Therapy. I help my clients gain the necessary insight, to make positive changes that can lead to a more fulfilling life.

I have experience with adolescents, adults, children, couples, and families. I have extensive multicultural competency training, as well as experience with military families and Veterans.
