About

Hello! I’m Beth. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor, but you might also call me a self-compassion encourager, a listening (truly listening) ear, and a holder of space for hope and healing. Whatever struggle is motivating you to start counseling, something inside is knocking. The knock may be feeling depressed, anxious, angry, or overwhelmed. It may be feeling disconnected in relationships and from what is meaningful in your life, a sense of emptiness or lack of purpose. It may be unresolved trauma. To answer that knock means to turn inward, which can be challenging and uncomfortable at times, yet I whole-heartedly believe the life you seek is patiently waiting! The pain you are experiencing is actually an invitation for healing and growth. Answer. When things break down, breakthroughs happen.

I have been a counselor for more than 10 years and have experience working with people from all different backgrounds who are struggling with a wide variety of challenges. Much of my experience has been working with people who are struggling with anxiety, general discontentment, trauma, and issues around identity. I primarily utilize Brainspotting in sessions, which is a brain-body based therapy and a powerful tool for lasting healing. Current research in neuroscience reveals that painful memories can get stuck in the non-verbal, non-cognitive subcortical brain which diminishes our ability to live fully in the here and now. Brain-body based therapy is the fastest-growing field of trauma treatment because of its proven ability to rapidly address issues that traditional talk therapy takes longer to resolve. I enjoy using Brainspotting to help my clients expand into the lives they truly want for themselves.

Therapy is a place I'll invite you to show up exactly as you are. No matter what you’re experiencing, I create a safe, comfortable, and accepting space for you to fully experience it without judgment. I'll meet you where you're at and support you in growing towards where you want to go.
