Although my degree is in Mental Health counseling, my treatment method is psychoanalysis. This means that each treatment is developed and conducted for the client in question, their specific issues and inquiries they have about their own symptom. Psychoanalysis emphasizes on guiding individuals in finding their own resources, gaining a knowledge about what is happing to them and the cause of their distress. What is your approach to therapy? My approach to therapy is that it should be a commitment that begins with a desire to know something about one's own issues. The client should be prepared to have agency and be an active participant in the course of his treatment. I do meet with individuals at least once a week and in-person in order to keep the momentum of each session. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you? Insight, and another way of thinking and working through issues that may provide a little more freedom and less suffering.
