Hi there, I'm Ann! My name is Ann LeFevre, and I’m a PhD, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Denver, CO, I see clients statewide via telehealth in CO, CA, PA, and FL. I work with adults and I specialize in depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma, with over 20 years of clinical experience. I welcome clients of all races, abilities, genders, beliefs, and sexual orientations. I typically use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as well as research-backed trauma treatments as needed to help my clients make progress and start feeling better. My approach My approach to therapy starts with creating a safe and comfortable environment, and common feedback I receive from clients is that I strike the right balance of being both challenging and supportive. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) when working with clients with depression and anxiety, and trauma treatments such as Written Exposure Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Prolonged Exposure when working with clients with PTSD. My focus My style is typically a good fit for adults experiencing depression or anxiety related to loss, work stress and imposter syndrome, a sense of never being enough, and relationship challenges. I also work well with individuals who experienced trauma at any point in their lives who now feel stuck and struggle at work, in relationships, and possibly have problems with sleep and mindset. My communication style My communication style is calm, present, and open-minded. I want my clients to feel comfortable talking with me about anything, and empathy and understanding are the foundation of each session. My journey to mental healthcare My passion for helping others began early in life, watching service-minded role models and through volunteering and community activities. There was never a question regarding whether supporting others would be part of my journey, and I’m happy to say that I truly love being a therapist and helping others achieve their goals.
