About
When life throws obstacles at you, you learn to ride the waves with all your power and overcome these barriers at great lengths! I believe we are all fully capable of reaching high potentials! As a therapist, my first priority is building a trusting and caring therapeutic relationship, allowing clients to feel comfortable in a safe, non-judgmental, collaborative environment. Working from the client’s perspective, I put those I work with and their views and cultural backgrounds into heavy consideration. My theoretical background stems from a person-centered/humanistic approach, utilizing Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play-Therapy, Mindfulness-based therapy (MBCT), and Solution-Focused Brief (SFBT) techniques for the past two years. In 2017, I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Speech-Language Pathology/Audiology from Molloy College and recently received my Master’s degree from Malone University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Prior to joining Path2Growth Counseling Services, my previous experience included working with children and adolescents suffering anxiety, depression, neurodevelopmental disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and/or conduct/disruptive disorders. I also gained experience integrating Neurofeedback and group counseling into their treatment plan. I also have experience working with adults suffering from anxiety and depressive disorders and issues with relationships, self-esteem, gender identity, and racial/oppression. At Path2Growth, I will be working under the direct supervision of Dr. Toussaint to provide evidence-based and trauma-informed care to children and adults. I am happy to work in a field with clients on their journey towards having a healthier and much deserving mental well-being!
