Hello and welcome! My name is Arkila J. Covington, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with a passion for guiding individuals, couples, and groups towards personal growth and emotional intelligence. Over the years, I have helped countless clients overcome obstacles, achieve their goals, and adopt effective behavior modification approaches to improve their personal and professional lives. My journey into this field began in the St. Louis, MO Housing Projects, where I embraced my inner ambition, tenacity, and determination. Despite facing adversity, I excelled academically and pursued higher education alongside my siblings. My diverse educational background includes a dual master's degree in Sociology/Criminal Justice and Counseling Psychology, as well as a bachelor's degree in Psychology. Throughout my career, I have held various roles such as Membership Marketing Manager, Community Development Director, Wraparound Facilitator, Clinical Intake Coordinator, and Clinician, enriching my understanding of human behavior and societal dynamics. In our sessions together, I prioritize building a strong therapeutic alliance.
