Hello and thanks for reading my profile. I have 8 years of experience working as a therapist. Prior to becoming a therapist I worked in child welfare which has giving me a lot of experience in working with people of varying ages, cultures, and backgrounds. As a therapist I have worked with a multitude of issues including depression, bi-polar, anxiety, trauma, family issues, relationship issues, developmental disorders, addiction, personality disorders, etc. I am especially experienced in working with individuals who suffer from trauma, including but not limited to sexual abuse, physical abuse, domestic violence, combat trauma, etc.

My style of therapy is both empathetic and direct. I use an eclectic approach to therapy including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, Client Centered, Existential, and Psycho-Dynamic therapy. I use Mindfulness practices and I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). This allows me to meet you where you are at and adapt therapy to a style that will help you the best.

My philosophy is that everybody has the ability to improve their self and their circumstances. I believe that our past experiences shape us but they do not have to determine our future. Everybody has within their self all that they need to be the best they can be. My job is merely to shine a light along the way and help you stay the course.
