About

I am a licensed professional counselor licensed in the state of Oklahoma. I hold a bachelor's degree from ECU in Human Relations and a master's degree from the University of Oklahoma in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have three years experience working with children and adults in a community mental health setting. More recently I have worked with Native American children and adults.
I work primarily with individuals who have experienced some type of trauma. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, panic disorder, PTSD, ADHD, relationship issues, parenting problems, and grief. I also have some experience working with individuals who are struggling with sexual and gender identity.
I believe that successful counseling is rooted in the relationship between the counselor and the individual seeking services. Trust is paramount within the relationship. I believe in treating everyone with respect, compassion, and empathy. I do not believe in stigmatizing labels. My therapeutic approach is eclectic and I pull from many therapeutic approaches to best meet the needs of the individuals I serve. I am also EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) informed.
