I am a licensed mental health counselor who specializes in clinical mental health and marriage and family therapy. I bring almost a decade's worth of expertise, and my education and experience have prepared me to work with clients from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and distinct personal histories. I believe everyone is capable of change. I also believe in honoring a person's past, personal experiences, and respecting an individual's belief in making meaning of their world. I specialize in treating children, adolescents, and adults in conducting individual, group, family, and couples counseling. I also specialize in treating traumas, co-occurring disorders, and addictions. My specialized training at the doctorate level has prepared me to treat trauma, Substance-Related and Addictive disorders, and to conduct CBT, and motivational interviewing. I am working on achieving a Ph.D. degree in Psychology at NCU and I am a Doctoral Candidate. I have 15 years of experience working successfully as a counselor with children, adults, and families with different life issues and disorders. My goals are to assist my client to heal, achieve their goals, increase their hope, and find solutions to their life issues as a team. I enjoy working with children and their families to help with behavioral and emotional difficulties, family dynamics, and educational related issues. I knew that the community is needing support with resources and a team that can advocate for them in the school and the community and I want to be there for them. I have a high rate succeed working with children with ADHD, ODD, trauma, adjustment disorder and other conditions. In addition, I have experience and have succeed with helping teen and adults with issues related to depression, anxiety, postpartum depression, substance use disorder, PICA, OCD, and family issues.
