About

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor & Clinical Evaluator in Georgia, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in New Mexico, and a Master Addiction Counselor through the board of the National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC) with over 20 years of experience. I have worked with individuals from a large variety of populations including military, corrections, addiction, crisis, domestic violence, developmental delayed that have concerns with trauma (physical, verbal, emotional, etc.), depression, anger, anxiety, parenting problems, ADHD, and other co-occurring and behavioral health concerns.

My first priority is to build a rapport with the individuals I work with to ensure they feel comfortable enough to share and interact with me on a personal/professional level. I believe in treating anyone with respect, empathy, sensitivity, and compassion. Counseling is not a place of judgment and labeling individuals. My motto is to meet people where they are and to treat people the way I want to be treated. My approach is person-centered which means that everyone posses the answer within with some guidance. I am comfortable with using a combination of techniques to assist individuals with their transition.

Thank you for reading my profile and considering me. It takes courage to seek out help to ensure a fulfilling and happier life. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you and please call me Nicky!
