Hello! My name is Angela and I am delighted that you are on your way to a better "you"! I am an empathic, spiritually based, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 20+ years of experience working with individuals and families. I received my graduate school education at California School of Professional Psychology. I have worked with clients with a wide range of mental health challenges including: depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, relationship issues, peer pressure challenges, amongst others. I also have specialty working with parent-child issues; marital/partner issues and school-based challenges including childhood trauma and self esteem challenges. My counseling style is warm, interactive, and down to earth. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I prefer working with couples and individual therapy with adults, particularly people over 60 years of age. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral and client-centered when providing individual and group counseling. When conducting family therapy, I utilize a systemic, emotional focus and reflective listening approach. With couples, solution focused and communication therapy techniques to help couples return to a baseline or what the relationship looked like when it's healthy.
