My Name Is Allison Santero, LCSW and I have been a behavioral health counselor for over 19 years as well as a social worker in several hospital and medical settings. By having both a psychological and medical background on a potential patient, I feel I can address the whole person and their entire mental health and medical needs. I graduated in 2000 with my MSW from Monmouth University in NJ and went on to receive my clinical supervision hours at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville,NJ. I treated patients in a variety of settings, including Emergency room, Maternity floor, HIV clinic, Cancer Floor, Stroke Floor, Pregnancy at risk suicidal patients. After I received my LCSW, I worked in several outpatient settings with teenagers, children with special needs and Adults and Families in my own private practice. I have also focused on marriage counseling , divorce, academic issues, self harm, trauma and severe depression. I am a very honest, upfront therapist who is direct and understanding at the same time. Most of my clients enjoy seeing me on a weekly basis because they have said that I am non judgmental of their circumstance.
