About

My name is Allie, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Registered Yoga Teacher. Throughout my professional career, I have utilized a holistic approach to help my clients. I believe that we, as human beings, are able to heal, grow and thrive when we nurture our entire entity. I have found that a holistic approach is truly beneficial at aligning a whole person; mind, body, and soul. My approach to counseling is a person centered approach, and to help you to become more aware of your own emotions, thoughts, body and surroundings. By gaining this awareness and viewing the self in its entirety with compassion and grace, we gain a deeper understanding of ourselves at all levels, and are more capable to promote progress and enhance our quality of life.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Development in 2012, and my master’s degree in Professional Counseling in 2015. During my career, I have had the opportunity of working with children and families that have experienced grief and loss, abuse and neglect, depression, anxiety, neurodevelopmental issues, and other complex trauma in a residential setting. I also have experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in school and day care settings, and am passionate about integrating movement and sensory based modalities in with my counseling. It is a privilege to see how resilient human beings can be! In my own time, I teach yoga, enjoy kayaking and being in nature, and spending time with my loved ones.
