About

Here at Doute Counseling Services, I am the Clinical Director as well as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. As the Clinical Director, I oversee our clinical staff and provide supervision to our graduate student interns. As a LMFT, I provide psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families. While I work with a variety of issues including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma; I specialize in working with clients who are struggling with relationship issues such as communication, sex and intimacy, passion/romance, trust and commitment. Relationships are an essential part of our livelihood as human beings and sometimes it can be more of a challenge to maintain them with ourselves and others. To foster healthy relationships with others, we must first have a healthy relationship with ourselves. A part of doing this, starts with understanding that we all come from different walks of life which leads to differing perspectives or world views. Sometimes, the things that we have been through in life can lead to emotional hardships that not only affect us but also our relationships with others. If you have found that you are in a constant battle with yourself, your spouse, or others, then you have come to the right place. Allow me to assist you in understanding things, such as your attachment styles and/or early maladaptive schemas and how these things relate to how you connect with yourself and others. Together, we will work on developing strategies that will allow you to set healthier boundaries, manage conflict, communicate effectively, improve intimacy, etc. I have training in relationship-focused therapies including The Gottman Method. As your therapist, my goal is to assist you in restoring the relationship with yourself and/or others. My initial plan is to build a therapeutic relationship with you and provide a space where you feel heard, validated, and empowered.
