Greetings! I am Affiniti Harris-Mordecai and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Hypnotherapist, Reiki Master, and Life Coach. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strengths-Based Approach, and strategies to bring balance in your life by focusing on the Mind, Body and Spirit. My approach I use CBT by incorporating journaling, positive visualization, mindfulness and other approaches. I use this to emphasize the importance of individuals understanding that any difficulties experienced in life will ultimately promote and foster growth in oneself. My focus I work with adults on parenting issues, domestic violence, past trauma, anxiety, post-traumatic stress and depression. I work with adolescents in areas of trauma, low self-esteem, anxiety, anger issues, depression, LGBTQ challenges, grief/bereavement, and abuse. I work with couples/families to remove any ongoing barriers and assist with fostering ongoing healthy communication with all members of the family. My communication style I use a calming environment and approach to assist in establishing rapport and allowing clients to feel a sense of comfort in sessions. My journey to therapy I was attracted the therapy and coaching as a career because of my ability of being highly intuitive and great with reading the energy of others. This assists me with offering empathy for clients as we work together on making transformations in their lives. My goals for you I prompt clients to share their initial goals in the first session. The sessions thereafter will be used to assess the client's progress with achieving specific goals. My first session with you Clients should expect to discuss specific goals that you would like to focus on for the weekly sessions.
