My name is Adriane Alexander and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I would describe my approach to therapy as relatable and genuine. My focus areas for therapy include: depression, anxiety, grief, relationship issues and other everyday problems that clients may have. My approach My approach to providing therapy is to make sure that my clients feel safe. I believe that what we need is "already in us". Sometimes we just need a listening ear and support to bring it out of us . My focus I typically work with clients who have a variety of issues. I am comfortable treating clients that are dealing with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, grief, relationship issues, work place stress and women issues. My communication style I can not stress enough how it important it is for clients to feels safe during our sessions. I want clients to feel that they can trust me. I have been told by clients that they appreciate that our sessions are a "judgement-free" zone. My journey to therapy I have always known that I wanted to work with people. Over the past 10 years I have worked in a range of settings, providing mental health and support services to people dealing with a host of concerns. The fact that I can help someone navigate their journey through life is what drives me to do this work. My goals for you I like to use a realistic approach towards setting goals with clients. Goals can always be re-visited and changed if necessary. My first session with you During a first session, clients can expect to be given a safe place to talk about what brought them to therapy. They can also use this session and any other session to ask any questions that they may have. I also like to give clients an overview of what to expect during sessions
