"I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become." Welcome, my name is Peju and I am a licensed professional counselor in Texas. I have been practicing for the last 6 years. My belief is that our past and our current situation does not make us who we are, but it's our ability to rise and push through our struggle that allow us to grow into other people we are destined to be. Regardless of your battle, whether it be depression, substance abuse, relational problems, or making a life change, I am here to help you along your journey assisting you in making decisions conducive to your needs and goals.

I received my bachelors degree in Psychology and Kinesiology with a minor in Health. I then became certified as a teacher and have been in the education field for over 15 years. I was able to earn my Master's degree in Special Education and Counseling. I then transitioned into the School Counselor role. Throughout these two positions, I have been able to acquire a tremendous amount of experience in children and adolescent issues, especially behavioral problems. I continue to build my skills and knowledge through many training and educational courses.

I have also been privileged to work in a private practice, which has provided me to the opportunity to extend my experience and training to but not limited to trauma based issues, substance abuse, couples and marital counseling, anxiety, depression, identity issues, and many more. My expertise is based on the belief that our past and environment does not predestine our future. Therapeutic focus is geared towards creating short and long term goals, accepting acts against you and those you cannot change, and allowing you to overcome your fears and accepting yourself for who you are. I continue to build my skills and knowledge through the many training, seminars, and educational course attended.

I provide individual, couples, and family counseling: anger management as well as parenting classes. I have had to the pleasure of working with a diverse population and welcome clients from various backgrounds searching for help to their concerns.
