About

“It’s like you’re turning me into a stress-Jedi…things just don’t rattle me like they used to anymore”
-Former Client, 2017

We go to gyms for our bodies, we go to schools for our minds, but where do we go for our emotions? Where do we go to increase our resilience; to learn to roll with the waves of life instead of getting smacked in the face by them.
If you’re here it means you’ve already found the answer - therapy!
You’re in the right place. It took a lot of courage to come this far and now its time for you to find a guide to take you even further. Finding the right therapist is really about finding the right “fit.” I will be a great fit for you if you’re motivated and driven to see change...or maybe you’re just motivated to get more motivated - I can help with that too.

My education is in counseling and art therapy (so if you want to incorporate some art making - we can work that in). I have a master's degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. I have worked in a broad range of settings including psychiatric hospitals, a detention center, a therapeutic pre-school, in client's homes with mobil therapy, and in outpatient clinics. Currently, I’m the lead therapist of an intensive outpatient program and my approach is – you guessed it – intensive. I use only the most well researched and highly regarded techniques: these include but are not limited to techniques from mindfulness based stress reduction, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectic behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and insight oriented therapy.

If you are looking for someone to work closely with you, to be invested in your progress and push you toward the most gains in the least amount of time, we’ll work great together. Our sessions will include talking of course, but there might also be reading, writing and drawing. Be ready to do some homework. Having said all that, ultimately you’re in charge of our pace – I’m walking beside you, not dragging you along.

I intentionally don’t take many clients at a time, so if you work with me you can rest assured that I’m probably thinking about the issues that brought you to therapy almost as much as you are. Together we will utilize your strengths, develop your external resources, and create a specific plan to meet your goals.
