Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Chad T. Allen and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Minnesota. It's not uncommon to experience periods in your life when you feel stuck, lonely, anxious, or sad--sometimes in reaction to a specific life event, sometimes for reasons completely outside your awareness. Or maybe you've become frustrated by patterns that seem to repeat over and over, leading to problems in your relationships or at work. I work with individuals and couples in psychotherapy to not only reduce suffering but also develop a greater capacity for love, work, and creativity.

I believe the problems we experience in living are woven into the fabric of our lives and rooted in enduring patterns of thinking, feeling, and relating to others. These problems develop in relationship to others over the course of our lives. And it is in relationship—a relationship in which the attentive presence of another is truly and deeply felt—that these problems can be healed
