About
My approach to therapy is relational, strengths-based, and rooted in a deep respect for my clients. I bring my genuine self into the room and strive to foster a safe space for deepening self-awareness and personal growth. I work with adults of all ages who are struggling with issues such as life transitions, identity, anxiety, depression, trauma and grief. All racial, gender and/or sexual identities are welcome. Grounded in psychodynamics, my work is trauma-informed and draws from various modalities, including mindfulness, somatics and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). I am particularly interested in the unique ways we process grief, loss and trauma and in the growth opportunities that come with paying attention to the body along with the mind. My background in architecture and design also informs my current practice, in which we can consider the effects of the macro and micro-environments that surround us. I received my Social Work training at the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College and have experience providing individual and group therapy in community health agencies and intensive outpatient hospital settings. My past research has focused on the legacy of colonialism and indigenous sovereignty. I am currently accepting new clients and would be happy to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation to answer any questions you may have
