Hello! My name is Zahra. I'm a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) in Illinois with 5 years of experience.

I have worked with both adults and children/young adults ages 8-17. I specialize in Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT), crisis interventions, and motivational interviewing. Currently, I'm taking classes for Substance Abuse treatment to earn my CADC license. I've worked with a variety of populations: correctional, child and family service involved, young adults, and community mental health. The clients I have worked with have a wide rage of concerns: anxiety, depression, borderline personality, OCD, ADHD, ODD/Conduct disorder, parenting problems, trauma, bipolar disorder, substance use.

My style drives from person-centered and motivational interviewing which includes warmth and compassion. I believe the first step to change or living a fulfilled life is SHOWING UP.
