I am a seasoned counselor with a client centered approach. I usually try to help the client come up with a tangible goal during the first session and also realistic objectives in order to meet that goal. I encourage work in between sessions in order to have a client see and feel results sooner. I encourage them to strengthen their own coping skills rather than rely on anyone else. I often use cognitive behavior therapy techniques as well as rational emotive behavior therapy techniques. I have found these techniques to be the most effective throughout the years for treating both anxiety and depression.

I realize we live in a fast-paced world and I really enjoy seeing clients feel more effective quickly. Life can be incredibly stressful and it’s wonderful to see when clients realize and utilize their own strengths in order to cope better with all of the stressors.
