I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with ten years of experience. I have provided counseling to individuals from all walks of life in various settings with different diagnoses and life issues. I also have experience working with individuals in an inpatient setting who struggle with acute, sometimes recurring symptoms. I have helped those with depression, anxiety, stress, self-esteem concerns, minimal support, and motherhood struggles learn to live an active, enjoyable life throughout my career.

My counseling style is personable and warm. You know yourself better than anyone, and I aim to empower you to make decisions in sessions and life. I do not believe a label defines you; therefore, I prefer the client-centered perspective. Client-centered therapy allows you to express your personal feelings and opinions while receiving empathy and genuine support. I believe every person is different with different struggles, and I strive to coordinate care that reflects individualistic needs.

I received my B.S. in Psychology and M.A. in Mental Health Counseling from Southern University and A & M College in Baton Rouge, LA. I am currently working on a doctorate in Counseling and Psychological Studies with a concentration in Biblical Counseling.
