About
You have taken a very positive step by deciding to seek therapy. The Outcome of your treatment depends largely on your willingness to engage in this process, which may, at times, result in considerable discomfort. I will walk by you in this journey. Let me introduce myself so that you get to know me a bit better. I am a psychotherapist currently providing Telehealth to children and adults. I also own a private practice for counseling to serve people with multicultural backgrounds. Since 2006, my multicultural experience extends from serving Holocaust survivors to incarcerated clients in three different countries. I have worked with immigrant youth and families as well as students in different educational settings and adult outpatients on conservatorship in Fresno County. My areas of specialty include ADHD, ANXIETY, DEPRESSION, TRAUMA and Personality Disorders. Based on my extensive field experience, I understand the impact of family system, oppression and community support on people. Prior to my present position, I served as a counselor for students at Fresno Pacific University’s Seminary Department. I have counseled with victims with mental health concerns for many years. My assessment skills and counseling techniques are based on strength-focused and recovery-oriented approaches. I can also provide links to community resources to enhance service quality. I am a compassionate social worker. I have written a brief overview of my strengths to meet your specific needs. In these various capacities, I undertook to establish rapport, apply behavior modification techniques, conduct exposure, psychosocial assessments, and provide short-term skill coaching, clinical assessments and treatment services to clients and families in various agencies. I have focused on working with underappreciated populations because I wanted to share my lived experience as an immigrant woman who has struggled to adjust to new systems. My empathetic approach to immigrants and student
