About
I specialize in crisis intervention and working with adolescents and adults that have been hospitalized or are at risk of hospitalization and are at a vulnerable time in their life. Through years of experience working with adolescents and adults in both inpatient and outpatient treatment settings, I’ve learned that empathy is at the heart of who we are as humans. Empathy is the capacity to understand or feel what another person is experiencing. It has the power to be transformative in relationships both personally and professionally, and contributes to positive self-reflection, compassion, and growth. I believe it is the key to developing a strong therapeutic alliance with my clients and navigating the stressors that come with life. Having someone to process life stressors with can help cultivate empathy, especially in ourselves and our circumstances. This can lead to increased self-awareness and confidence to make positive strides toward the changes, improvements, and progress that we seek to make. I can provide a therapeutic perspective if you are experiencing difficulty managing anxiety, depression, OCD, interpersonal conflicts, trauma, strained family dynamics, or having difficulty adjusting to any stressors. I use a combination of strengths-based, solution focused, and insight-oriented approaches to work with you on identifying problem solving strategies to help you progress in your goals and life milestones. I can help you develop insight regarding your thoughts, expression of emotions, and actions to support your progress in your journey to becoming the most authentic version of yourself. If you are ready and motivated to do the work, I can provide guidance to help you live the life you want to live, in the way you want to live it.
